About

The Sarnia-Lambton Coordinating Committee on Violence Against Women recognizes the importance of a systems perspective in establishing an integrated response to gender based violence. The committee believes that we all have a responsibility to work toward the elimination of violence. This responsibility extends beyond the clients we serve to a traditionally patriarchal society and its attitudes towards women, Two Spirit, Trans women and gender-diverse people. We must work toward changing socialization patterns and attitudes that underlie and perpetuate violence against women, including Two Spirit, Trans women and gender -diverse peoples.

Our commitment to educate, advocate and coordinate service will result in a practical application of “zero tolerance” to violence.

Vision

A community working together to achieve a violence-free Sarnia Lambton.
