Make it Our Business (MIOB) provides information and education to help employers and other workplace stakeholders meet their obligations under the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act.  Employers must prevent and respond to domestic violence in the workplace.

• Employers lose $77.9 million annually as a result of domestic violence

• 8 in 10 women tell family, friends or co-workers about their abuse

It’s Not Right emphasis in this workshops is on teaching neighbours, friends and family members of seniors experiencing abuse to recognize the warning signs and then to take small practical steps to help that are safe and respectful.

Neighbours, Friends and Families is a public educational campaign to raise awareness of signs of woman abuse so that those close to an at-risk woman or an abusive man can help.
